If you mean you want to take back your word, if you are tired of–why don’t you tell me you are tired of me?
Just before Holy Week, Don Julian invited the Judge and his family to his coconut plantation and beach house. There, Julia revealed that she's leaving next week. With the fear of losing her, he decides to declare his true feelings for Julia. But Julia persisted to end things and bid farewell.
They bumped into each other. When the Church’s function ended, Alfredo goes to meet her even though his fiancé is waiting for him. He learns that Julia has already known about his engagement to Esperanza. He then asked her if she would be willing to come to the wedding.
8 Years Later...
On his return home, he gets a double blow. He finds Esperanza talking to her friend about loyalty and fidelity. He senses a desire to communicate. He supports the reason for craving and choice over dishonesty. Esperanza soon confesses that she knew about his affair with Julia.
In pursuit of his lust and heart's content, she encourages him to cancel the wedding. However, the wedding goes ahead as scheduled and Alfred surrenders to reason.
Eight years later, he is sent to some work duty which happened to be near Julia's hometown. On his visit, he feels nostalgic and cannot resist his lust for Julia and soon finds an excuse to meet her. Julia is still single and that made him dream about starting a new life with her.
Merely seeing her face feels nostalgic enough for Alfredo, however, he finds that the feelings he once had for Julia are long gone. He perceived the love he had felt for Julia all those years was like the light of dead stars, long extinguished, yet seemingly still in their appointed places in the heavens.
