  • 1601 was when the British trading company, East India Trading Company arrived in India. They set up trading posts and started trading with India.
  • 1930
  • 1765 was the year that India was declared a colony of Great Britian and they took full control of the government.
  • 1947
  • We are broke. We can't have India no more.
  • In 1919 a massacre was started because Indians were outside the temple of Armistar and were shot at by British soldiers because they were thought to be gathering illegaly.
  • 1948
  • Gandhi led a 240 salt march with the Indians opposing a salt tax. This caused them to be clubbed and beaten.
  • Great Britain will never give up their power.
  • In 1947 after WW2 Great Britian didn't have enough money or power to run India. They gave up all their power.
