This is the scene from Forbidden Sea where Cora Lynn refuses to give a poor drifter a piece of bread even though she had three loafs. Instead, Adrianne decides to give the beggar her small slice of bread a mini tart Dean Young gave her
The beautiful Cora Lynn walked on the beach carrying a lovely basket holding three giant loafs of bread. Happy and full of joy, she continued her walk.
About to head back to town, Cora was stopped by an poor lady covered in rags. Her skin was sickly pale as she clung to the girl, begging for food. Sadly for the older woman, Cora was terrified and refused to even spare one slice of bread.
"Here, take my bread and this small tart." said Adrianne who was watching the whole incident unfold. Cora Lynn stepped back and observed with a look of guilt on her face. Adrianne had almost nothing and was living off of donations from the Youngs, yet she was able to give all her food, so why couldn't she?
Running up to the two, Dean held Cora Lynn's hand as an attempt to comfort her. Unknown to them, Adrianne watched as she felt her heart sink. "Of course she chooses the beautiful and amazing Cora Lynn. Dean Young would never notice me."
With tear filled eyes, Adrianne left the two alone and returned back to her humble home.
Thank you for reading my short comic! This scene is from the book Forbidden Sea, which happens to be one of my favorite books at the moment. As you can tell, for some parts I had to improvise (The handbag as a basket, Dean Young dressed up as a modern day teenager, etc.), but I still think it came out decent.
