  • Why of course...! Don't be foolish! We will!

  • Good commending generals
  • The use of guerilla warefare
  • We'll use sneak attacks on the British. They'll never expect it!

  • One leverage that the colonist had was that they were fighting on known territory. It was easier for the colonist to move around because of their knowledge of the terrain.
  • Untrained and unorganized military unit
  • Prepare your weapons boys! On my command, we shoot!
  • George Washington and Benedict Arnold were two commanders who led the colonist during the American Revolution War. Each leader had their fair shares of successful battles prior to the American Revolution War.

  • The American colonists triumphed during the Revolutionary War because they used military tactics such as ambushes and raids. This is known as guerilla warfare.

  • Many Britain troops were elite soldiers and were well trained compared to the colonist who barely knew how to use a gun. Britain also had mercenaries to help aid them in the fight against the colonists.
  • Was this a good idea? I mean we barely know how to fire a gun.
  • One disadvantage that the colonist had was that they were greatly outnumbered. Britain had over 80,000 troops .
  • Unlike Britain who was well supplied with food and weapons, the colonist were short on weapons and supplies. During the Battle of Bunker Hill, the colonist were forced to retreat because they ran out of ammunition.
