slava part 2 is the part when he is on the move again after fleeing from Kakuma Refugee Camp
The group keeps on traveling. They come to the Gilo River and start building reed canoes to cross to get to the island in the middle before crossing over to the other side.
The group comes to the Kakuma refugee camp where Salva would stay for 7 years; before getting kicked out of the camp with everyone else and being forced toward the Gilo River -the same river they had crossed before- by government soldiers from Ethiopia because of the uneasiness in the country.
the group of people and Slava are pushed toward the Gilo where the people are forced into the water by soldiers, crocodiles devore people, and soldiers shoot people for no reason. It is a miracle that Salva survives, and makes it to the other side. But he does, and leads a massive group of boys toward Kenya.
after the crossing, Salva joins a group of boys who start traveling toward Kenya. Salva is their leader, and after going in circles, they reach the refugee camps in Kenya where Salva stays for a very long time in harsh conditions; and moves from camp to camp until meeting a aid-worker and becoming friends.
one day, Salva saw that the US had started taking people to the US for a program! Salva waited and waited, until finally he got on the list! He went to the US and stayed with a foster family until he heard his father was alive! he quickly went back to find his father who was recuperating.
Father! it is me!
Salva wanted to help the people in Sudan but he didn't know how. Then, with the help of his foster family and friends, Salva started project aiming to make wells for the people of Sudan. He is a great influence and his project has become worldwide.
