Head Over Heart, or, How Monkey Tricked Shark and so Saved his Life
Once there was a monkey living happily in his palm tree home and his mangoes. He often enjoyed throwing the mangoes into the ocean because of the splash it made. A shark who also swam near the tree enjoyed it so much that they made a game out of it. The monkey would throw the mangoes and the shark would catch them. They became fast friends and the shark invited the monkey to join him for a trip.
The shark thanked Monkey for all of his wonderful mangoes and asked him to come with him to the ocean to meet his people, and to see what shark hospitality really is like.
Monkey quickly asked about his fur, because monkeys hate their fur getting wet. The shark assured him that there would be no problem, he would stay above water and not let a single drop of water hit monkey.
Soon they were off and monkey (who was suffering from seasickness and worry) asked how far it was. Shark said no and then told monkey what was really happening at the Bight of Benin.
Shark told monkey that his leader, King Sarkin Shark the third was dying from an unknown strange illness. Shark told monkey that the kingdom had tried everything to cure him, except a monkey's heart.
Shark went on to say that he knew monkey wouldn't mind giving up his heart. Monkey was shocked but remained calm, he made up the excuse that he left his heart at home. Shark asked what he had meant, and monkey said his heart is hanging from his tree.
