Storyboard Text

  • Artificial selection has also definitely changed the way the act; domesticated cows are much more contained and not wild compared to wild cattle.
  • Mhmm, I do see some differences.
  • Artificially selected cows are also beneficial because it boosts the production of dairy and meat.
  • Wow those are great benefits, but there must be some risks or downs to this too right?
  • It also rules out weak and undesirable traits in herds.
  • Of course, there are health problems such as the cows being pushed to their physiological limits.
  • I didn't realize it could affect them this badly.
  • Domesticated: (of an animal) tame and kept as a pet or on a farm.
  • Some keywords and definitions include:
  • Milk yield: the milk production of a cow characterized by lactation production.
  • Artificial insemination: injection of semen into the vagina or uterus.
  • Offspring: an animal's young.
  • I personally think that the artificial selection of cows has been beneficial for humans especially because of the impact they have on our lives and how they've become a source for our milk and meat.
