Joan of Arc was a French peasant girl. At age 13, she had started to hear voices in her head. The voices were from God and they started as a 13 year old. The voices told her to help Charles become king. She left her home at age 16 to join the French Army.
The French had started a war with the English called the Hundred Years' War. Joan had cut her hair and dressed like a boy to join the army. She was put to the test by Charles. He said that Joan could join the army.
At the Battle of Orleans, Joan made the English retreat. She was hit with an arrow in the fight. Since Joan believed in God, the arrow wouldn't have much effect on her. After the battle, Charles was crowned king of France.
After the battle of Orleans, Joan had gotten cocky and had fought every English town. One town she had fought, she got left behind. She was captured by the Burgandies. They were the French traitors. The English payed her ransom and too her from the Burgandies.
WAIT FOR ME!
Joan had been captured and she denied the voices in her head. She had confessed all of her sins against the church and God. Joan was sentenced to death. She was to be burned at the stake after 2 years in a dungeon.
Get out of my head. Please.
Joan was to be burned at the stake alive. Joan was very scared and she had been tortured for days to get a confession. As the flames rise, she only calls out one thing, Jesus.
