This is just for a history class, don't go thinking this is good
The story of Muhammad begins with him first getting the basis of his faith from the angel Gabriel. We can imagine this would be around the the 7th century.
Shortly after he had heard this news, he knew that he must tell the people around him his message from God. He had not gained many followers around the time he started to preach.
The other people of the tribes, however, did not ike what he was teaching. They treated him and his followers poorly.
We should beat him up!
That's not real!
As a result of the insults and threats thrown at Mohammad and his followers, in 662, they left their home city and went to Medina. This would later be known as Hijra, the first month of the Islamic calendar.
As Mohammad's followers grew into an army of 10,000 after uniting the 8 tribes surrounding his hometown. He did not punish the people that chased him out, rather worked to make life better for the poor and children.
Mohammad had lived for around 10 years after he had gone back to his original city. He died in 632 and had received many more messages from God. These messages would later become known as the Quran. In the end he had started a religion and reunited the tribes of Islam.
