  • "O holy friar. O, tell me, holy friar,/ Where's my lady's lord? Where's Romeo?"
  • "There on the ground, with his own tears made drunk."
  • In Act 3 Scene 1 Tybalt challenges Romeo to a duel, but since Romeo has just married Juliet he refuses. Mercutio then fights in his friend's honor, but is killed by Tybalt. In order to avenge Mercutio's death, Romeo fights and kills Tybalt.
  • Act 3 Scene 4
  • "My lord, I would that Thursday were tomorrow."
  • "...She shall be married to this noble earl./Will you be ready? Do you like this haste?..."
  • During Act 3 Scene 2 Nurse informs Juliet that someone has died. Juliet is distraught, because she thinks that Romeo is dead. The Nurse then tells her that Romeo actually killed Juliet's cousin Tybalt.
  • Act 3 Scene 5
  • "... Go counselor./ Thou and my bosom henceforth shall be twain./ I'll to the Friar to know his remedy./ If all else fail, myself have power to die."
  • After in Act 3 Scene 3 Romeo goes to Friar Lawrence's cell, where he tries to commit suicide after Nurse tells him that Juliet is grief-stricken. Both Friar Lawrence and Nurse help Romeo spend the night with Juliet before he has to leave to Mantua the next day.
  • Act 3 Scene 4 includes County Paris getting the permission from Lord and Lady Capulet to marry Juliet. They think that the marriage will help Juliet out of her mourning for Tybalt, although she is actually mourning Romeo's banishment
  • Finally in Act 3 Scene 5 the Capulets inform Juliet that she will marry Paris next Thursday. She begs her parents to reconsider, but they are set on the marriage. Juliet is devastated, and heads to Friar Lawrence's to get his advice.
