The two cottages were both owned by the Tuvaches and Vallins families. They both were enjoying a nice pot roast outside of a beach resort.

Since the two familes were poor, the married couple bribes them with money in exchange for their children. The Tuvaches gives their youngest one away to them and instantly regretting their proposal.
For the most part, the Vallins lived comfortably, but, the Tuvaches still remained poor and their eldest son went to serve in the army. While the family was during their chores, they hear a voice and it was their youngest child back home.
The couple that arrived at their cottages who took the Tuvaches' child many years ago and both families decide to talk about what happen with them. But, the Tuvaches' son interfers and brings back the Vallins' child.
