Take this falcon and train it. Falcons are raptors, killing birds.
The falcon didn't really like this boy. It would slash and peck at him. This falcon had lived in the wild for the last year which made it that much harder to tame.
He tried to keep the falcon awake by staying with it constantly and playing music because a tired bird is easier to tame. He fed it from his hand. It would not eat at first.
Come on. Stay up.
Later it ate so savagely that its beak cut the skin of his palm. But the boy was glad, because it was progress, and because he wanted the bird to know him, even if the bird had to consume his blood to make that happen.
He began to notice the beauty of the bird. When he told him to come, the bird came to him. When the falcon swooped down and landed on his arm, the boy almost jumped with delight. He knew the bird loved him.
The boy was proud of how perfectly tame his bird was so he took it upon himself to show his father.
