  • Is this a dagger which I see before me.The handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee.

  • I have thee not, and yet I see thee still. Art thou not, fatal vision, sensible to feeling as to sight? Or art thou but a dagger of the mind, a false creation preceding from the heat-oppressèd brain? I see thee yet, inform as palpable as this which now I draw.

  • (A bell rings) I go, it is done. The bell invited me. Hear it not, Duncan, for it is knell That summons thee to heaven or to hell.

  • Macbeth is anguished because he is about kill King Duncan. He has a hallucination because he is so anguished. The hallucination is a dagger leading him to King Duncans room. Macbeth is in mental turmoil.
  • The door are open, and the surfeited grooms Do mock their charge with snores. I have drugged their possets, Thatdeath and nature do contend about them, Whether they live or die.
  • Macbeth sees the dagger in a hallucination and then pulls a dagger that looks exactly the same out of his pocket. The dagger in the hallucination looks exactly the same. This shows that Macbeth is anguished because he wants to become king of Scotland.
  • (Lady Macbeth doesn't know who said that) Alack, I am afraid they have awaked, and 'tis not done. Th' attempt and not the deed Confounds us. Hark! I laid their daggers ready; He could not miss 'em. Had not resembled my father as he slept.
  • Who's there? What, ho!
  • Macbeth heres a bell which means it is time to kill King Duncan. Macbeth says that he doesn't want to Duncan to listen to the bell because that will determine if Duncan goes to heaven or hell. Macbeth is determined to do this and become King
  • I heard the owl scream and the crickets cry. Did not you speak?
  • I have done the deed. Didst thou not hear a noise?
  • Lady Macbeth is saying how she has drugged the servants of King Duncan so much that you would not even be able to tell if they are dead or alive. Lady Macbeth would do what ever it took to get what she wants.

  • Lady macbeth heres someone and thinks it is Duncans servants. Lady Macbeth gets scared because that means the murder didn't happen. She was scared also because they might have not succeeded.

  • Macbeth just killed King Duncan and is now scared if Lady Macbeth heard a noise. If someone were to have heard a noise they could have been caught Killing King Duncan.
