King Paris of Troy fell in love with Princess Helen, who was a greek, and wanted to marry her, but she was already married to King Menelaus who ruled sparta.
But he couldn't help but think about her all the time, so he captured her and took her to the city of Troy to live wiith him.
King Menelaus was angerd by this and so he went to Troy with his army and battle the trojans for Princess Helen for ten long years.
after ten years of war it seemed like all hope was lost until Odyseus thought of a plan. The plan was to build a giant wooden horse as a fake reward to the trojans for winning the war, the spartans would sail away and the trojans would take the horse into the city, but there would be a couple of soldiers inside it that would come out and open the gates at night.
The spartan created the horse and sailed away, leaving Odyseus and a few men hiding inside of it. Trojans took the horse into the city and celebrated their victory. At the dead of night Odyseus and his men came out of the horse and opened the gates for thespartan army, who had sailed back.
The spartans left victorious with Princes Helen, leaving a decimated Troy. Odyseus was then celebrated as a war hero. He later, in greek mythology, went on numerous other adventures and, after he died, became a god.
