Relax, I just want to play a game... Or are the great Round-table Knights scarred???
Don't worry Arthur, I got you *wink*
Splendid! I'll meet you in one year at 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney. Ight, imma head out.
Amazing Sir Gawain!! DILLY DILLY!!!
One year later...
On King Arthurs' NYE party, a strang Greek Knight comes in, and asks to play a game: They can cut his head and get his axe, as long as he can in one year.
Hey, take this; It'll protect your neck!
My golly ma'am, this is quite the swell gift!
The knights weren't down with the offer, so to avoid embarassment Arthur began to accept the challenge, but to protect Arthur and gain respect, Sir Gawain agreed to play the game and cut his head off.
Stop faking me out and just get in over with man!!
Gosh I'm sorry, I promise I'll do it this time, but I just had to make sure you're ready.
But to everyone's surprise, the GK got his head, told Gawain where to meet in one year and left. Gawain was shook, but Arthur saw this as a huge act of courage, and the party continued.
I'm so sorry for lying; I couldn't be honest or keep up the code of chivalry...
Don't cry human, it was all my plan. You are forgiven, for you see your faults now.
One year later, Gawain went to where the GK said, and one the way a king allowed him to stay in his home with his wife. Whilst there, Gawain kissed his wife 3 times, and she gave him a scarf to protect his neck.
Gawain left the castle to visit the Green Knight, but when he swung first, Gawain flinched. Next, the GK faked a swing, to ensure Gawain wouldn't flinch again.
The GK then pricked his neck, surprising Gawain. He explained how they are now even, but the trip was to test Gawain's chivalry. Gawain saw how he cheated and lied to protect himself, rather than keeping the code to his heart.
