Storyboard Text

  • The Ultimate Boom
  • I can´t believe that my dad lied to me! I can believe he killed a baby!
  • Refusal of the Return
  • I don't want to go home. I can face my dad.
  • I will call the community and tell them to tell your parents you are staying over night for extra practice.
  • The Magic flight
  • I have a plan for you to do so everyone in the community can have the memories we share.
  • Ok what is the plan.
  • Jonas had just finished watching his father kill the smaller twin from the release that happened that morning.
  • Rescue from Without
  • Jonas didn't want to face his father or anyone for that matter because everyone was being trained to not feel pain or bad for the people that got released. He asked the giver to stay with him for the night and the giver called the community saying Jonas was staying for extra training.
  • The Crossing or Return Threshold
  • While Jonas was staying the night with the Giver, Jonas and him come up with a plan to save the community and make everyone share the memories him and the giver share.
  • Reflection
  • Once Jonas was back at his house the next day, he acted the same as always but new what his dad did. It was now nighttime and Jonas was leaving the community with Gabriel, his dads bike and some left over food.
  • Once the community found out Jonas left they had watchers come out in the day and night trying to find him and Gabriel. After awhile they stopped looking and Jonas and Gabriel got farther and farther away from the community. Once they were at the farther they could go they were at the top of a hill, they were going to slide down with the sled they found.
  • Plane! Plane!
  • There are many reasons why Jonas is a hero in this book The Giver. He never failed to care for people or the things he loves. He was strong when he got his bad memories and shared his good memories with Gabriel. He managed to stay tough through out his whole experience as a Receiver. He wanted to save his community so he left so everyone could share the amazing memories he had. He also was a hero for bringing his brother along with him leaving the community cause he didn't want him to die. He stayed strong throughout the whole time he was gone from the community and all those things make Jonas a hero.
