  • There comes a time where we must face the truth with strength. My sister, your husband won't be coming home. There was an accident. I'm here for you

  • I'm free! Time to live for myself. Oh how the years seem short now, time to be my own person
  • Knowing Mrs. Mallard's heart trouble, her sister took great caution to break the news to her bit my bit.

  • Who could that be knocking?!
  • Why are you grappling onto me? What's this about a goddess of victory?
  • Mrs. Mallard after hearing the news, fled to a room internalizing the news while looking out the window on a roomy armchair. After a while, Mrs. Mallard realized that she was going to be left alone with all of her husband's estate. She was financially and emotionally free!
  • Resolution
  • Mrs. Mallard leaped for joy! She had been free from her husband and can finally stop living for her role as a wife but as her own person. She even admitted she never really loved him
  • Theme
  • Mrs. Mallard feels a monstrous joy and grabs at her sister's waist downstairs where they meet Richards waiting downstairs. Together, they hear a knock on the door
  • At the door there stood Mr. Mallard alive and well! He had nothing to do with the accident. Mrrs. mallard's heart trouble got the best of her and was declared to have the joy that kills!
