A loyal catholic named Cecilia adored the virgin Mary and admired the chastity so much that she wants to remain a virgin forever. Ultimately, she falls in love with a man named Valerian.

On her wedding night Cecilia warns her new husband Valerian, that a guardian angel will come down and slay any man who tries to violate her body.
Cecilia tells him that he needs to get baptized by pope Urban as soon as possible
Valerian gets baptized by the pope and witnesses a vision proclaiming God himself. Returning home to his wife, Valerian sees the guardian angel; He begins to tell her that his brother must be baptized.
After God performed many miracles on the young couple locals grew very jealous towards them. Cecilia is taken into custody and is tortured in prison. First they placed her in scolding hot water and injected her with poison 3 times but they fail to succefully kill her.
Cecilia lives for another 3 days, during which she sang and converted non-believers. Following her eventual death, pope Urban decides to name her Saint Cecilia.
