This is a big pool! Do you know how many gallons of water could fit in it?
Hmmm..
Well first we would have to find the volume of the pool. To find the volume, we must multiply the length, width, and depth of the pool.
11 feet
5 ft.
12 ft
5 × 10 × 12= 600, so the volume is 600 ft3 ?
10 ft
yeah!
Now what?
There are 7.48 gallons in a cubic foot. So now we must multiply the volume by 7.48.
600 × 7.48= 4488. So 4,488 gallons of water can fit in in this pool?
Yes, you are correct !
Math is fun and all, but can we go swimming now?
Yes!
