The story is about the three characters Devan, William and Katie. The story is about the problems that the three characters go through and the end result being each character finally changing for the better and facing their mistakes.
Each character in the book displays the story, Devan was a bullies at the start but after a while he realizes he's doing bad things and changed, William is a very smart kid who gets his feelings hurt throughout the story but forgives in the end, Katie is a person who made the mistake of hurting Williams feelings and not having time to apologize.
The Novel is told through Katie, William and Devan's eyes with each character going through a significant amount of drama in a progressing story. The way the author wrote this was so that when we take an opinion on a character we can see what the character truly is like through all the perspectives.
The theme of this book is coming of age, we get to see the theme throughout the book many times, like when Devan stood up for William or when William forgave Katie after what had happened between them.
The author's writing style is fairly straightforward because of how each character acts, a moment where this really stands out with the amount of detail we get from each character about their everyday lives, their living conditions and the reason they are who they are.
I would suggest that people who have just become teenagers read this book because it has a lot of drama, moments of relief and redemption. It can really teach teenagers how to grow as they go through highschool in a good way because it sets an example of changing for the better.
