After Theseus escaped the labyrinth, Daedalus was sent to a tower. Icarus, his son waited patiently for his fathers return.
Daedalus told Icarus about his idea of making wings. He used feathers and molded candle wax, making a pair for himself and Icarus. They then set out to the sky, escaping the tower.
As Icarus and his father flew through the sky. Icarus felt the need to fly higher and higher, despite his fathers warnings. Icarus finally flew too close to the sun causing his wax molded wings to melt.
Icarus fell from the sky to his death.
His father buried him on an island and decided to call it "Icaria"
