  • 1#          The oil rush made towns boom which were called boomtowns they  were rough places not suited for kids and women.they grew with the economic booms,boom towns were busy places and everyone was trying to make money and get rich.such as the city population of sour lake grew very rapidly,the population went from 10000 to 50000.thousands of texans arrived to the boomtowns in days seeking jobs in the oil industry.
