Storyboard Text

  • Ever wondered the difference between speed, velocity, and acceleration? Well, today you're going to find out.
  • First, we will discuss speed.
  • Speed is the distance covered over a certain amount of time. These runners took about 6 minutes to run a mile.
  • Next, we will discuss velocity. Velocity describes the speed, and direction an object is going. The blue car here, is making a turn at 25mph
  • Now, we will discuss velocity. Velocity describes an object's change in speed, and direction. The ball started at a strong speed, then slowly slows down. It also curves in.
  • There are formulas that can be used to calculate distance, speed, and time.
  • S
  • D
  • T
  • In conclusion of today's lesson, speed, velocity have many similarities, and difference. Class dismissed.
