The Proclamation of 1763 did not allow colonist to settle west of the Appalachian Mountains. This made the colonists angry because they thought they had won the war and the right to settle.

The Sugar Act of 1764 was the first direct tax on the colonists. The price on sugar, syrup, and molasses would be raised.

The Boston Massacre of 1770 was a shooting in Boston. Both sides were very biased during court trials. British soldiers said they didn't hear the word "fire" and were protecting themselves. Bostonian's said that they heard the word "fire" and were innocent.

The Tea Act of 1773 were colonists who were mad at the British raising the tax on tea, so they raided boats and threw all of the tea off the boat into the Boston river.
The Intolerable Acts of 1774 was a punishment for all the colonists who were included in the Boston Tea Party of 1773. One punishment was tearing and feathering.
The First Continental Congress was a meeting held in the Carpenters Hall in Philadelphia. This meeting was in reaction of the Coercive Acts.
