  • You must pass these tests. 
  • Rising Action 
  • is the operashun don, i dont feel any difrent
  • Yes Charlie. Don't worry. It will take some time. 
  • Rising Action 
  • I beat Algernon! Also this Robinson Crusoe is a pretty good book. 
  • Well done Charlie! Make sure you listen to that TV at night. It's gonna help you.
  • Charlie is determined to get smart. He wants to be used for the operation to become intelligent. He is curious to learn how to read, and spell correctly. "I told them becaus all my life I wantid to be smart and not dumb." (pg. 1) 
  • Rising Action
  • Kàn kàn jìsuàn shìfǒu xiàng zhèyàng......
  • What did he say? The operation is really good. He's so smart now...
  • Charlie is used for the operation! However, after the operation is performed, he didn't feel much smarter, or feel any different... "Nothing is happening..." (pg. 4) 
  • Climax
  • Algernon is dead... I a feel like I'm starting to lose my memory. 
  • "I beat Algernon!" I dint even know I beat him until Burt the tester told me."  (pg. 6).  Charlie beat Algernon, and he is starting to read too (pg. 7). While he sleeps has to listen to a TV audio. 
  • Falling Action
  • i cant reberer anyore pleas dint let me go bac to tis. 
  • At this point Charlie is a genius. His IQ is a lot higher that Dr. Nemur's, and he can speak multiple languages. "I still don't understand what I.Q. is except that mine is going to be over 200 soon. " (pg. 10) 
  • Algernon died. Charlie buries him with flowers in his backyard. Also, he realizes it will soon be his turn for his intelligence to deteriorates, and possibly death. "Artificially increased intelligence deteriorates at a rate of time directly proportional to the quantity of the increase." (pg. 18)

  • He loses all of his intelligence. He is back to the way he was before, but sadder. "Please... please let me not forget how to read and write." (pg.21)
