The Duel By Josh Woofter Narrated by Miyamoto Musashi
AH, that's me down there in my prime. This is me practicing for my first real duel with my late uncle Dorin. I was 13 at the time and I felt ready to fight to prove myself.
You have my thanks, uncle. You were generous to give me practice before my big day.
You're learnin' from the best, kid.
You haven't even reached adulthood! You don't stand a chance, kid.
My opponent and everybody else never believed in me and even poked fun at my age. This was their biggest mistake.
It was looking grim. He had the upper hand and I was already wounded by a simple dagger. He continued to mock me until I couldn't take it anymore.
In one millisecond of pure hatred I forgot about my training and elegant moves. I struck hard and left cuts and bruises everywhere (see first pannel)
I killed this man in the duel. Brutally and harshly though, I won. When the dust had settled ad the arena was cleaned, his body layed as a monument to my victory
