It's a good thing I'm dying since the church won't be able punish me for establishing the concept of the heliocentric system
Galileo "Father of Modern Science"
Cause: Copernicus proposed the sun was at the center of the universe and that earth moved on its axis based on his observations made with the naked eye Effect: Galileo and others made theories based on Copernicus's heliocentric theory, which made the foundation of our system today
Cause: developed his own telescope that allowed him to see with a magnification of 8 or 9 times Effect: Observed that the moon has craters, discovered sunspots, traced the phases of Venus, saw the rings of Saturn, and discovered the 4 most massive moons of Jupiter
Cause: Discovered that mars followed an elliptical orbit Effect: Came up with his first law of planetary motion, and he eventually made 2 others which are all still accurate
