Odysseus and the Cyclops' cave

- After a long time of being overseas, Odysseus and his men discover an island, which happens to be where the cyclops resides. They decided to explore the island and while doing so they spot a cave. They decide to go in it and would later get caught by the Cyclops Polyphemus. Odysseus tried asking for hospitality, but Polyphemus killed some of Odysseus' men and ate them. After that, Polyphemus decided to trap Odysseus and his alive men in his cave.

- The next day, Odysseus and his men decided to get revenge on the Polyphemus by first sharpening a piece of wood they found and then intoxicating Polyphemus with a concoction of Odysseus' men's wineskins. Once intoxicated Polyphemus was sleeping, Odysseus pierced through Polyphemus' eye.

- The next day, Odysseus and his men decided to hold on the backs of polyphemus' rams to escape his cave. They do so successfully, but Polyphemus wasn't going to let them off the hook that easily. He decides to throw rocks at Odysseus and his men's ships while Odysseus taunted him. They eventually sail away from the island, but Polyphemus begged Poseidon to do something about them. Now Odysseus has to overcome the challenge Poseidon will bring upon him and his men.
