R I D E R
Want to be my girlfriend.
After being adopted by two surgeons and being homeschooled for 4 years, Mallory decided to get over her shyness and spend her senior year back in highschool. On her first day she recognized a guy from her past.
when you were gone...it was all i had of you.it was something that tied me to you.
All the rabbit wanted was to be real...and loved.
Rushing out of her speech class when asked to stand and speak, Rider(the guy from her childhood), followed her to make sure she was alright. Rider took her keys and drove her to an abandoned building he had "tagged" with his personal graffiti.
holy F*** Jayden. NO! goddamnit NO!
fireworks went off. except the werent fireworks.air punched out my lungs hitting the ground, heavy weight settling over me. it was gunshots
Shortly after Rider and his girlfriend broke up, Rider took Mallory to "garage", where they spray painted a canvas together and shared their first kiss. Jayden, Riders foster brother, showed up badly beaten because he was in the drug business and owed money. Rider cleaned him up and warned that he was going to get himself killed if he didn't get out of it.
I want to be the guy worthy of your love, and i swear, if you'll have me.i'll do everything in my power to be the man.i'll never stop trying.ever.
After school one afternoon, Rider took Mallory back to his house. While in his room Mallory noticed a book on his shelf shocked to see it. It was the book he'd rea to her every night at the old foster home. He said that once they got separated he held onto it every where he went because it was the last thing he had of her and he loved her.
After deciding to leave a friends one day to go watch a movie, Jayden walked outside along with then to the car. All of a sudden shots were fired and Jayden was dead on the road. The next day Rider had told Mallory he didnt feel real and they couldn't be together because she deserved better. Mallory still hugged him at the funeral but he didnt say a word.
Still yet to talk, Mallory delivered her "most important person" speech in class, Rider said nothing. The speech was about him. After school she was called downstairs and given a gift, it was "the velveteen rabbit". There he stood, telling her he was sorry and that he finally felt real and was proud of her for her speech.
i held him through it all. Then it was me who put Rider back together...
