  • What happened?
  • oh no!!! I'm going to do so bad in this test and I'm probably going to fail. Everyone is so confident with this topic except me.
  • I'm so excited for the maths test tomorrow. I know that I'm going to do so well!!
  • Feelings
  • This isn't going to be good because I can barely understand anything about maths!
  • Behaviour and impact
  • I don't think you should be too excited for the test because it's probably going to be quite hard which means you probably won't do too good
  • Chloe comes up to Emma and tells her that she is very excited for the maths test coming up tomorrow. Emma is very frustrated and worried because she isn't too confident with the topic.
  • Self-Awareness
  • Emma now feels upset because she has realised that she has hurt Chloe's feelings
  • Emma is now feeling very frustrated and worried because she wants to do well in the test however she doesn't really understand the topic.
  • Regulation
  • I'm not going to do bad in the test because I understand most of the things and I'm going to get through it.
  • Emma is really jealous that everyone is feeling pretty good about the test so she decides to try and put people down by discouraging them.
  • Repair Relations
  • I'm so sorry for putting you down because I was really nervous for the test.
  • Emma has now realised that she shouldn't have discouraged Chloe about the test. She has hurt Chloe's feelings and has made herself feel bad as well.
  • Emma could do some meditation to calm down and to distract herself from thinking about the test. She could also listen to some music to help her not think about the situation.
  • Emma tried to discourage Chloe about the test and is now apologising to her. She explains to Chloe how she was feeling at the time and tells her why she was acting the way she was. Chloe understands how Emma is feeling and then helps her out.
