  • In this scene of the movie, Gary and Julius engage in an argument about their roles on the football field.
  • YOUR A WASTE OF GOD-GIVEN TALENT!
  • TELL YOUR WHITE BUDDIES TO BLOCK!
  • This scene is a baptismal sacramental moment because as baptism is the beginning of relationship with God, this was the beginning of Gary and Julius’s friendship.
  • The lesson the characters and audience is to inherit from this moment is that even though society may establish barriers between different races and ethnicity's, we can always break them down and establish new positive relationships in the progress.
  • Hey Julius, come in and meet my mom!
  • Bertier: Honesty? You want honesty? Alright, honestly, I think you're nothing. Nothing but a pure waste of God-given talent. You don't listen to nobody, man! Not even Doc or Boone! Shiver push on the line everytime and you blow right past 'em! Push 'em, pull 'em, do something! You can't run over everybody in this league, and everytime you do you leave one of your teammates hanging out to dry, me in particular!

  • This represents annotating of the sick because as a final salute to their ill friend the teams rally together to win for Gary
  • Gary and Julius meeting Gary's mom.
  • The lesson that can be learned from this is that while we are alive we must make the most of our lives. This includes making meaningful relationships.
  • In the finally scene of the movie "Remember the Titans" Sheryl Yoast and the former members of the Titans football team gather for the funeral for Gerry Bertier.
  • Sheryl Yoast states this: "People say that it can't work, black and white. Here, we make it work every day. We still have our disagreements, of course, but before we reach for hate, always, always, we remember the Titans. "
  • The setting for this panel is a heavenly type of setting. This is to signify a holy and peaceful transition from life to death.
  • This scene in the movie represents the sacramental moment of annotating of the sick. The is shown in the movie during the scene of the funeral as well as the hospital scene.
