  • The title could be about the Roaring 20's and the life then.
  • Paraphrase
  • This poem is about how during the roaring 20's people used to live. The flappers danced in speakeasies and clubs where jazz was playing a booze was popular. People founded new dances and  crime was common.  The Stock market  soared  and everybody had a great time until it crashed.
  • Connotation
  • Stock Market= Roaarrrrrrrrrr!!
  • Attitude
  • The attitude/tone of the poem is happy at the beginning but gets sad.  at the point when the stock market crashes.
  • Shift
  • There is a shift from the beginning to the end as in the beginning everybody is happy and joyful and then it shifts to the sorrows of October.
  • Theme
  • It tells the reader that the 1920's were a time of joy, sorrow, and beer.
  • Title Revised
  • No matter what happens, just live your  life!
