How did those women get trapped behind this wallpaper?
I have freed myself in spite of you John!
John rents a house for the narrator to recover from condition. The narrators husband and brother are both physicians and they said that she con not do anything til she id better. The narrator thinks otherwise.
The narrator writes behind John's back because he believes it will worsen her condition. The narrator feels guilty because she cannot help John with things. As time passes her condition worsens and she begins to think the wallpaper is moving. She dose not sleep anymore because she is busy watching the "women" trapped behind the wallpaper.
The narrator begins to rip the wallpaper off the walls to free the trapped women. She locks herself in the room and throws the keys out the window. John comes home and kicks the locked door in only to find his wife crawling around the perimeter of the room. This sight causes him to pass out.
