  • P - Paraphrase
  • C - Connotation
  •                   A - Attitude/Tone
  • Paraphrase: The songs appears to be about how someone's beauty speaks to the singer or “sings” to the speaker.  I think that the singer is trying to tell someone how she feels about them or what they mean to her
  • S - Shift
  • The word “beauty sings” which is said a lot in the song seems to have a positive connotation because, beauty, is usually a good and happy thing. But words like "isn't this loneliness enought to tear us apart" has a more negative connotation.
  •                          T- Theme
  • The attitude of the speaker in this song seems to be, at some points, happy and full of love, but at other points, she seems to be sad because she can’t love someone she wants to love and is full of loneliness.
  •                  T- Title Revisited
  • Then, the speaker starts saying things about how lately she’s been lonely and feels like she is lost. She also sings how she feels like she can’t love the person and “even if she changes her ways, love won’t let her stay.”
  • The song starts with the speaker singing about how her and someone else could be happy with each other, how they’d watch each other grow, and how they’d be beautiful together.
  • I think the theme of this song is that you should be able to love whoever you want and whoever makes you feel beautiful.
  • After looking at this song, the title “Beauty sings” doesn’t seem as positive as it used to. I now have realized that it isn’t all happy and the singer does, at some points, feel lonely and lost, which is sad.
