Mr.White and his son are waiting for Sargent Major Morris to arrive. As they are waiting patiently playing a board game, as Mrs.White is making a meal. Then they hear a knock on the door.
Who is that.
Sargent Major Morris arrives and explains how bad the monkey's paw is. And then he decides to throw it in the fire. But Mr.White wants the wishes and grabs it out of the fire quickly.
As Sargent Major Morris leaves, Mr.White is confused about why the paw is so bad. And he makes his fist wish that he could get 200 pounds. Then his son leaves for work.
Then someone from Mr.White's son's work came to tell them that their son had died in a work accident. But then he gives them 200 pounds for the funeral costs. That's when they realized how the monkeys paw is bad.
The knocking disappears, and she moves the chair out of her way. She opens up the door. There is no one at the door. She lets out a disappointing sign as a cold breeze comes up the steps.
She goes to the gate, searching for Herbert. Mr. White goes after her to comfort her. They look at a empty street. There is just a street lamp flickering on and off.
