  • T - Title
  • The title gives away that the 1920's were all about industrial revolution! So join me! Come on everybody, let's have a drink!
  • P - Paraphrase
  • Moral Suppression and Greed led to war, People went to speakeasies. The charleston became a famous dance, Crime was ignored because of how much it paid.  Prices soared, and no one knew how that could be bad. Wall Street collapses in the end.
  • The Flappers were dancing while the bootleggers fought It was very social, Jazz was played and booze was served
  • C - Connotation
  • The connotation starts happy, but gets worse later on.
  • A - Attitude
  • The attitude is ardent for most of the poem.
  • S - Shift
  • This Poem shifts in two ways. The first being stanza length (last stanza is 4 lines instead of 3), and the second being the tone. (Starting as cheerful, and ending in tragedy)
  • Title Revisited / Theme
  • The Theme is that the 1920's was a time of rebellion and industrial revolution.
  • The Title now gives away that the 20's literally "Roared" with the fact that there was  a lot of rebellion
