Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Conflict
  • Rising Action
  • On June 27th of every year, a  huge crowd of villagers gather to commence the lottery.  They all anxiously wait to pick their papers, and see who wins.
  • Climax
  • The tradition is running smoothly until Tessie Hutchinson realizes its her family that will have to draw a second time. She yells at Mr. Summers, along with many other villages, declaring that the game is unfair, and her husband didn't have enough time to draw his card he wanted. 
  • Falling Action
  • ITS NOT FAIR
  • The Hutchinson family goes up, and each draws a little slip of paper to see who the family winner will win.
  • Resolution
  • Tessie realizes that she drew the paper with the little black dot on it. Showing that she is the winner
  • Tessie tries to stall time, by having her other daughter going up, though she knows that it isn't apart of the rules. She continues to say that the tradition is not fair.
  • The villagers decide that the have had enough of Tessie, so they begin the tradition. Everyone in the town, including the children, pick up a stone, and begin to kill Tessie on the spot.
