When I wake up in the morning the potential energy that I stored form the night before turns into kinetic energy that I use to wake up and work out. So this transfer goes from potential to kinetic energy.
When I brush my teeth I use mechanical energy to turn the faucet on and then when the water comes rushing out I hear sound energy so, this energy transfers mechanical to sound energy.
When I wake up in the mornings to eat breakfast I use the kinetic energy to open up the freezer door to get food out. Once I do that I refuel myself with some more potential energy. This energy transfer is for kinetic to potential.
When I ride the bu sto the air port. The bus uses chemical energy using the gas, and then wheels start to spin and make the bus move. That action requires mechanical movement which later will start the engine to heat up causing thermal energy. The transfer of this bus goes from chemical to mechanical to thermal.
When I take the plane out to Cali for Cross Country Nationals the plane uses chemical energy from the fuel which then powers the propelers to get the plane moving and later increases the heat of the engine which causes thermal energy. this energy tranfaer goes from chemical, mechanical, and to thermal energy.
When I'm running cross country I end up using the chemical energy that ate during breakfest and turn it into kinetic energy when I run. This energy transfer would go from chemical to kinetic.
