Warning of the Flood Genesis 6:5-22 - Botnia Calzada
The main important event in Gn 6:5-22 is that God wanted to wipe out all of humanity because he saw how great the wickedness of human was, he saw that everything they wished for in their hearts was nothing but evil. So he wanted to start all over. The first thing that happened is that he saw how everything the humanity wanted all evil, so he said he was going to wipe out all of humanity. Next, God saw that Noah was the only one that was good. So he told him to make an ark & to take 2 of every animal & he told him how to build it. He told him he was going to flood the earth with the water but he told Noah to bring his family to keep them safe in the ark. Finally, he told them to take in 2 of each animal on earth, to the ark, to keep them alive, but he also had to store food for himself. A life lesson that we can learn from this passage is that God always knows what a person feels.
"The LORD regretted making human beings on the earth, and his heart was grieved," (Gn 6:6)
"I will establish my covenant with you. You shall go into the ark, you and your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you," (Gn 6:18)
"Of all living creatures you shall bring two of every kind into the ark, one male and one female, to keep them alive with you," (Gn 6:19)
