Storyboard Text

  • What is the time?
  • What time do I like my dinner served?
  • 6 o'clock sharp. I'm sorry; I promise I'll be on time tomorrow.
  • 6:05
  • A woman was beaten by her husband daily. This went on for years.
  • OUCH!!
  • The woman and son grew up in this abusive environment, and violence was all that they knew.
  • Bye, son! Be nice to others!
  • Due to the conflict, the boy ends up hitting the girl, and the girl cries.
  • ...later that day
  • NO!!! Stop cheating!
  • No!
  • Give it to me now!!
  • Give me the answer to 1.
  • What makes you think that you can hit her?
  • My daddy does it to my mom all of the time, and she has to do as she is told.
  • He tells the principal what happened.
  • Y'all need to get some help, and there are multiple options out there. You aren't alone in this situation. Here is a pamphlet titled "Domestic Abuse and the Affect It Has On Your Children" that I think both of you should read. Statistics show that on average, 10 million men and women face domestic violence, and there are over 20,000 calls to the Domestic Abuse Hotline.
  • Please call 1-800-799-7233 for help. You don't want your child living in this hostile environment.
