Hey dad, my history class has started learning about the French and Indian War but I don't know too much about it.
Well son, you're in luck! I can teach you all about the French and Indian War and I can give you notes to learn from!
The Treaty of Pairs ended the war and France relinquishes all land in North America. Britain has everything east of the Mississippi River and the Natives lose their ally and their trading partner.
The French and Indian War was fought with the French and the Native Americans on one side and the British and the Colonists on the other side.
The war was caused by three main factors. 1. Both France and Britain wanted control over the Ohio River Valley. 2. British Colonists moved into region, which disrupted trade between French and Natives. 3. There was lots of conflict and wars between France and Britain.
Britain ends up with a ton of debt from the war and starts taxing colonies, so the Colonists unite and start learning how to fight as one, and Britain fears sparking another war with natives.
The taxing and unfair treatment from the British lead to the American Revolution which formed The United States of America.
