Storyboard Text

  • After WWII, Japan loses supremacy over North and South Korea, and the Korean Peninsula is divided along the 38 parallel with communism in the North, and capitalism in the South.
  • North Korea enters South Korea to produce a communist-controlled Korean Peninsula, causing the United Nations and the United States to declare war on North Korea.
  • US troops directed by General Douglass McArthur push North Korea, and communism, out of South Korea.
  • Although, US troops push so far they get too close to the Yalu River (border separating China and NK) causing China to get involved with the war on North Koreas side. (because at the time China was communist.)
  • General McArthur led troops to lead China back to the border, and he wanted to go further into China, but The president at the time (President Truman) did not like the idea of that; he fired him.
  • Even after the three years of the Korean War, North and South Korea are still divided at the 38 parallel, and to this day, they are not blissful with each other.
