Storyboard Text

  • Hey are you having trouble with integers in math class?
  • Yeah, Mr. Smith said that he was going to teach it to us tomorrow.
  • The concept of integers is pretty easy to understand.
  • Say that someone asks you what the opposite of a number is .
  • If they give you a negative number the opposite is the same number but positive
  • Example: The opposite of -5 is 5 and the opposite of 17 is -17
  • Yeah, can you teach us how to do that?
  • Is it possible to do the opposite of the opposite?
  • Example: The opposite of 5 is -5 and then the opposite of -5 is 5, so the same number
  • If you think the opposite of the opposite the answer is just the same number.
  • Yea, the opposite of the opposite of a number, if you think of it it is very easy
  • The last thing you need to know about integers is how to read a number line.
  • The numbers on the left are negative and the ones on the right are positive.
  • Now I understand integers way more!!
