In the short story "The Cask of Amontillado" By: Edgar Allen Poe, there was a man named Fortunado. He had insulted a man named Montresor. As his motto states "nobody insultes me without punishment" therefore Montresor is going to punish Fottunado
Montressor wasn't justified enough to punish Fortunado
Fortunado had only insulted Montresor, this isnt a big deal he could have talked to Fortunado about it
Montresor states "Fortunado had insulted me. So I vowed revenge." (27, Allen Poe)
This shows that Montresor was over reacting and all Fortunado did was insult Montresor.
In conclusion, Montresor was over reacting about the insult and he could have talked to Fortunado about the insult.
