Storyboard Text

  • Why do I have to pay so many taxes?!
  • Taxes
  • Beacuse France is severely in debt and we need money!!
  • WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO; WE'RE OUT OF FOOD!!!
  • Starvation
  • WE SHOULD NOT OBEY OUR KING WHOM HAS UNLIMITED POWER; WE SHALL MAKE POWER LIMITED!!!
  • Enlightenment philosophies
  • Taxes were so bad because the King would charge everyone an insane amount of taxes that were unfair to the third estate. Therefore, as we find out later, the Third Estate hosts the Tennis Court Oath.
  • The Tennis Court Oath
  • We will be ONE individual. ONE GROUP OF PEOPLE!!
  • Referring back to "Taxes," the King had charged so many taxes, and they also took their food away too. By the end of the monarchs collecting taxes, the Third Estate, or peasants, had barely any food for themselves to survive.
  • Storming of the Bastille
  • GIVE US ALL YOUR WEAPONS!!!!
  • Later in the French Revolution, we see that philosophers come into play. These philosophers say that the monarchy's power should be limited and/ or balanced.
  • Women's March to Versailles
  • Let's go ladies; time to go to Versailles
  • The Third Estate comes together and makes an oath essentially saying that they are one person, and they will be conuted for heat, not group.
  • The Third Estate went to the Bastille and raided it. Eventually after they were done, the Basille was empty and had no more weapons left.
  • Women march to Versailles with pitchforks and weapons demanding for food. They eventually made the King leave Versailles; this was the last time the king saw Versailles.
