What happens when state authorization goes wrong?
Once upon a time, a young lady decided to enroll in an online program in another state while she worked full time.
After completing the program, she found she was ineligible to sit for the licensing exam as the university was not authorized to offer programs in her state. Her degree was not recognized.
She hired a lawyer and took the university to court, receiving a large settlement. The university received hefty fines and the inability to offer online programs to residents of that state.
