  • Geography and Location of Rome
  • Romulus and Remus
  • Etruscan Engineering Influences on Rome
  • Rome is located on the Tiber River. Etruria and Greece surrounded Rome. Rome is also very mountainous.
  • Etruscan Sport Influences on Rome
  • Romulus and Remus were found by a wolf. The boys were found by a Shepard. Romulus went on to rule Rome after killing his brother.
  • Greek Influence On Architecture 
  • The Romans got the idea of the archway from he Etruscan's. This is the same place that the idea of the cuniculus came from.
  • Greek Influeces On Culture 
  • Along with architectural ideas, the Romans got the idea of slave fighting from the Etruscan's. This was later changed to Gladiator fighting. These warriors fought to the death.
  • Romans adapted Greek architecture.  They even borrowed the idea of the amphitheater into the Colosseum. The most famous adaptation is the Greek style columns.
  • The Romans write in all caps just like the Greeks. The Greeks influenced the Romans in art so much that their art is sometimes called Greco-Roman. Romans also like their predecessors, worshiped many gods.
