Life during the Civil war

- I'm starving , let's see what we have to eat. Pork, Beef, Bacon, sugar, beans, flour, water, dried fruits, vinegar, dried vegetables. Not a large variety.
- Camp life in the military is hard, cold, and wet. But a way to up are spirits there are bands and newspapers weekly.There's also libraries churches, and theaters.
- Also most battles were fought in ranged Forest or in the country. These battles were short and there were more than one in a day.
- There were a lot of battles in the Civil War including Battle of Antietam, Gettysburg, Fort Henry, Atlanta, Fredrick,
- Anesthesia was never a thing in the 1800s so they would go into surgery awake. There were a lot of death when surgery happen.
- Prison were one the worst thing in the Civil war. Prisons we're in the worst conditions making thousand of people dying from living there.
- African American Soldiers are basically trash soldiers. They do the dirty jobs they get paid less, they get poorer equipment and food. Finally they get called colored troops.
