well the difference between the both of them. well, an electrical motor turns electrical energy into mechanical energy. And a generator turns mechanical energy into electrical energy. However, they are very similar as well. they both convert energy and both create energy.
What is the difference and similarities between and electrical motor and a generator
im not sure could you put it on the board
there is a link between the two power sources. in each of the two, motor and generator there is a coil. and when electrical currents run through the coils it creates an electromagnetic field. the way it works in a motor is a magnet is used and that gets pushed by the electromagnetic field and creates a spinning motion. and the way it works in a generator is as a coil of wire is spun between two opposite magnets an electric current is generated
Did you know what the link between electromagnetism and generators and motors are?
Isn't there like a coil in each of the power things
that's correct vannessa
Can anybody give me an example of machines that use electric moters
oh, I know one. in my computer, there is a fan I'm pretty sure that is one
ooo, would a vacuum cleaner be one
wouldn't that mean the fan in my room is an electrical moter it spins just like the one in jim's computer
Jim, would you say your fan in your computer is useful to society.
Hmm. very interesting
Of course, I would. if there was no fan in the computer it would overheat thus making in useless
id have to agree with him as well. because fans are used all over the world not just in one computer
well in that case could you say it has shaped the world
oh yes very easily. ill give you an example, lets say its very hot inside you turn your fan on people used this a lot and then someone thought about making it even cooler and made the air conditioner
the coal is burnt at very high tempretures and then the gas and heat that comes of it is whats used for the electricity.
it sure is
Do you guys wanna know how to convert coal into electricity
