Storyboard Text

  • Nick at his new house
  • Daisy and Jordan at the Buchanan house
  • Tom Daisy Jordan and Nick in the dining room
  • Nick Carraway just moved to West Egg after being in the Great War. "He found the house, a weather beaten  cardboard bungalow at eighty a month..."(3). Both of his next door neighbor had mansions one of them being Jay Gatsby.
  • Nick Daisy and Jordan in the dining room
  • "The only completely stationary object in the room was an enormous coach on which two young women were buoyed up as though upon an anchored balloon. They were both in white, and their dresses were rippling and fluttering as if they had just been blown back in after a short flight around the house."(8). Tom talked to Daisy to catch up on each others lives since they've last seen each other.
  • Nick and Daisy on the porch
  • "... the knuckle was black and blue."You did it, To,' she said accusingly. ' I know  you didn't mean to, but you did do it. That's what I get for marrying a brute of a man, a great, big hulking physical specimen of a -"(12)
  • Gatsby on his lawn
  • The Butler comes and gets Tom because he is receiving a phone call so he steps out. Jordan tells Nick to be quiet so she can try and here the phone call and he is confused. Jordan informs him Tom is having an affair with another girl in New York.
  • Nick and Daisy do some more catching up on the porch while Jordan and Tom are inside. Nick finally finds out who Jordan is when she comes out and says goodnight because she is playing in the tournament tomorrow. Daisy informed Nick that he wanted to set up him and Jordan.
  • "... for he gave a sudden imitation that he was content to be alone - he stretched out his arms toward the dark water in a curious way, and, far as I was from him, I could have sworn he was trembling. Involuntarily i glanced seaward- and distinguished nothing except a single green light, minute and far way, that might have been the end of a dock." (21)
